Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2007 Nissan Murano- Video

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2007 Nissan Murano

Today in our 2007 Nissan Murano, we'll be installing the Hopkins adapter, four pole to five pole trailer wired adapter, part number 47515. Our vehicle already has a four pole installed on it, so we'll start there. What this does is it makes your four pole, that comes on your vehicle, into a five pole. To start out, we'll just go ahead and plug these two together. These are removable if you don't want to keep them constantly connected. And you see you just unplug this quick connector here that holds the reverse light wire together. For this application, since they will be pulling a boat with this vehicle, we're just going to go ahead and keep these together, and if you want to, you can just go ahead and un-tape them and separate them. I'm just going to go ahead and stop right now, here at our quick connector, and we can go ahead and tape the rest of it up once we make our connection. Now with this application, we are going to have to probably extend our blue wire. Since you can see the four pole that comes in our vehicle is pretty long, so we'll just extend it here underneath our paneling and run it to our reverse light circuit on our vehicle. Next we need to go a head a remove some of these panels back here so we can get to the wiring. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Altima- Video

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Altima

Today in this 2006 Nissan Altima we're going to install part number 56146KIT from Curt. To install our wire harness we need to go ahead and open up the trunk to get access to the wiring on the driver's side. To get access to our wiring we're going to have to move the carpet out of the way a little bit. We can simply fold this down. Eventually we're going to have to run a power wire out to our battery so we'll go ahead and remove the floor panels, or at least move them out of the way to get access to the floor. The next thing we're going to do is test our wires. To do that we're going to need a ground to test with. more

Curt Relay Kit Installation - 2014 Nissan Titan- Video

Curt Relay Kit Installation - 2014 Nissan Titan

Today on a 2014 Nissan Titan, we'll be installing the Pollak 7-pole vehicle end connector, part number PK11893 in conjunction with our Curt Relay Kit, part number C57000. Now to begin our install, we'll first locate the vehicle's 7-pole connector. This will be above the bumper on the driver's side. We'll go ahead and cut the tape that goes around it, holding the 7-pole connector end to the wiring harness. We'll pull it out to where we can gain access to it. Then we'll remove the 7-pole connector end weather cap. To remove the cap, we'll press on the connector lock and then pull the cap out. We'll need to install our 7-pole mounting bracket. We'll be using our Pollak 7-pole mounting bracket for vehicle ends, part number PK12711U using the Pollak install hardware kit, part number PK11926. We'll take the 7-pole bracket and secure it correctly to the hitch mounter bracket with the bolt down through the hitch mounter bracket into the 7-pole bracket and then secure it with a nut underneath. We'll have two fasteners that secure it to the hitch mounter bracket. Next, we'll take our 7-pole connector and secure it to the 7-pole bracket. Now we can take our wiring harness that we prepared and plug it into the back of the 7-pole connector. more

Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2009 Nissan Xterra

Today on our 2009 Nissan X-Terra we'll be adding the Tow Ready four pole to five pole trailer wiring adapter, part number 20036. With the vehicle already equipped with a four pole connector, we'll be adding the four to five pole adapter, which will plug directly into our four pole connector with additional blue wire connection. This blue wire connection will be the reverse taillight wiring feed. To start, we'll go ahead and open up the rear tailgate where we'll remove the two fasteners securing the drivers side taillight assembly. Next, pop it from its position, being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Then we'll locate the wiring for the reverse taillight. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Altima 118151- Video

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Altima 118151

Today on this 2006 Nissan Altima we are going to install part number 119176 from Tow Ready. The first thing we need to do is get access to the trunk area of the vehicle. We need to pull back some of the interior components so we can get to the wiring. We removed the flooring material, now we are going to take off this panel right here. It is assembled along the top edge here but you can just pull on it and it should pop out. We will do the same thing with the plastic rivets here and here and get closer to the wiring. We can see where our main wire harness comes down through here and this goes on to the passenger side of the vehicle and this one goes straight to the driver side tail light. So we can get access to our wiring here and here. 00:49 more
